Amaira Akbar

Amaira Akbar studies MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) at the University of Warwick, drawn to economics, mathematics, technology, and entrepreneurship.
She looks at how data, quantitative analysis, and technology can explain complex systems and solve real problems. Through the Non-Trivial Fellowship and her own independent projects, she has studied questions that run from economic uncertainty to emerging technologies and innovation.
She also likes to build. She has worked on projects across software development, sustainability, and transportation systems, and completed a backend development internship at Tata 1mg.
At Warwick she works where quantitative analysis, economics, and technology meet, alongside research, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving.
She co-hosts Decoded, and she is always happy to hear from people interested in research, data, economics, technology, or startups.
